These Terms and Conditions apply to all members of Finn Valley Leisure Centre, Stranorlar, Co. Donegal. By becoming a member, you agree to abide by the following rules and policies:
1. Membership Types
• Memberships are available for individuals, couples, families, students, seniors, people with disabilities and corporate groups (contact management).
• Proof of eligibility (e.g. student ID, age verification) may be required for specific membership categories.
2. Membership Duration and Fees
• Memberships are offered on monthly, quarterly, bi-annual or annual basis.
• All fees must be paid in advance by cash or card.
• No refunds will be issued unless under exceptional, pre-agreed circumstances.
3. Use of Facilities
• Members have access to the gym, swimming pool, steam room, sauna, and other designated facilities during opening hours depending on membership.
• Specific programmes (e.g. swimming lessons, classes) incur additional charges.
• Some areas may be restricted during private bookings or maintenance.
4. Membership Cards / Check-in
• A valid membership card must be presented at reception on each visit.
• Cards are non-transferable. Misuse of cards may result in suspension or termination of membership.
5. Health & Safety
• All members must complete a Health Screening form upon joining.
• Members use the facilities at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are fit to participate.
• Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Wet gear is not permitted in the gym.
6. Children and Young People
• Children under 8 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult, except during supervised programmes or swim lessons.
• Children (under the age of 16 yrs) are not permitted in the gym unless enrolled in a youth programme.
7. Conduct and Behaviour
• Members are expected to show respect to staff, other members, and the facility.
• Aggressive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or cancellation of membership.
8. Cancellation and Suspension
• Memberships may be suspended for medical reasons (with supporting documentation) or by written request, subject to management approval.
• The Centre reserves the right to cancel any membership due to misuse, policy breaches, or misconduct.
9. Data Protection
• Personal data is collected and stored in compliance with GDPR.
• Member data is used solely for the purposes of managing membership and improving service delivery.
10. Amendments
• Finn Valley Leisure Centre reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Notice will be provided via the website or at reception.
